Ordering & Pricing

What's the minimum order quantity?

Our minimum is 5 bottles per design — making custom bottles accessible for small teams, conference giveaways, or testing a single design before scaling up. If you have multiple designs, the minimum is 5 per design, not combined across them.

How does pricing work for multiple designs?

Pricing is calculated per design, not by total quantity. If you order 125 of design A and 125 of design B, you pay the 100–249-tier rate (€10.53) for each separately, not the combined 250-tier rate (€10.21). This keeps pricing predictable and lets each design get its own optimised print run.

What are your volume tiers and discounts?

We have six price tiers: 5–49 bottles at €12.76 each, 50–99 at €10.85, 100–249 at €10.53, 250–499 at €10.21, 500–999 at €9.89, and 1,000+ at €9.57. The tier applies to each design separately. For orders over 1,000 pieces, we contact you for production time.

Do you offer payment terms for businesses?

Yes — invoice payment (net-14) is available on request, subject to a credit limit check. Minimum order quantity is 50 bottles; in practice, invoice terms are typically granted from 100 bottles or more. Contact us with your company details before you place the order — a typical review takes one to two business days. Full conditions in our terms of service.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), iDEAL, Bancontact, and local methods through our standard Shopify checkout. For invoice payments, see the payment terms question above. Full payment terms in our terms of service.

Can I reorder the same design later?

Yes. Once you've ordered your design, we keep the print files for future orders. Go to your account to simply reorder a previously made design — no need to re-upload artwork or go through the design tool again. You can also easily find your previous designs (for samples and orders) in the bottle designer itself if you have saved them there. The designs are saved for up to 6 months for you to reorder.

Can I order custom bottle colours?

Our 10 standard colours cover most needs — we strongly recommend starting there. For anything beyond, custom colour runs are possible from 500 bottles, though in practice larger volumes are usually needed to make a batch viable. Lead time is from 3 months, and we work from a selected colour range, so exact brand matching isn't always possible — we'll match as close as the range allows. Before deciding, read the full story on our bottle colours page.

Do you charge VAT on EU orders?

Yes — we're based in the Netherlands, so we charge Dutch VAT (21%) for orders within the EU. For B2B orders to other EU countries with a valid VAT number, we can apply the reverse-charge mechanism. Provide your VAT number at the registration form or the checkout. Full tax and duty conditions in our terms of service.

Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship to?

We ship across the European Union, plus the UK, Norway, Switzerland, and Turkey. Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg get flat-rate shipping (free above €250 excl. VAT). For destinations outside Europe, contact us first so we can confirm feasibility and rates.

How much does shipping cost?

For NL/BE/LU: flat rate €7.95–€15 depending on country, free above €250 (excl. VAT). For other European destinations: per-box rates from €8.95 (Germany) up to €44.95 (Norway). Boxes hold 50 bottles each. For 4+ boxes (200+ bottles), we ship on pallet with a tailored quote at checkout. Shipments to the UK, Switzerland, and Norway also include an additional EXA surcharge of €60–€75. Full breakdown of per-box rates on the pricing page; pallet and EXA details in our shipping policy.

How long does delivery take?

After production (5–15 business days depending on quantity), shipping is typically 1–3 business days within the EU. Total time from order to delivery: 1–2 weeks for orders under 200 bottles, 2–3 weeks for larger orders.

Do you ship on a pallet for large orders?

Yes. For orders of 200+ bottles (4+ boxes), we ship on a pallet rather than individual boxes. This is more efficient and protects the bottles better during transit. You'll get a shipping quote tailored to your destination at checkout — pallet rates depend on country and delivery access. Full pallet shipping conditions in our shipping policy.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Once your order ships, you get a tracking number by email with a link to follow the parcel from our warehouse to your door. For pallet shipments, we provide tracking from the freight carrier.

Do you ship outside Europe?

Yes, on request. We've shipped to the US, Middle East, and various other countries. Because international shipping rates vary significantly by destination and order size, we quote these case by case — contact us with your destination and quantity for a rate.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Photograph the damaged package and bottles within 48 hours and email us these photos, the number of damaged products and your order number. We'll review damaged bottles and resend new ones when needed, at no cost. Stainless steel is durable, but transit damage occasionally happens. Full damage reporting procedure in our shipping policy.

Design & Artwork

Do I need design experience to use the tool?

No. The design tool is built for non-designers — upload an image, add text, adjust position. Most first-time users finish a design in under 30 minutes. If you have a logo and a basic idea, you're set.

What file formats can I upload?

PNG, JPG, SVG, and PDF up to 25MB. For best print quality, we advise to upload at 300 DPI or more. Vector files (SVG, PDF) are perfect for logos — they scale infinitely without quality loss. For photos or raster files (PNG, JPG), the higher the resolution the better the print. We print exactly what you upload, so the quality of your source file shapes the quality of the final print.

What resolution should my image be?

For best results, upload at least at 300 DPI. The design tool flags low-resolution uploads to help you spot issues early — though for the sharpest print, the highest-resolution source you have is always the safest choice. Compressed images, screenshots, or upscaled files print exactly as supplied. Most logos in a brand guidelines PDF are too small for full-wrap printing — request the high-res master from your designer if possible. For brand-critical work, a printed sample is the easiest way to confirm everything looks the way you want. Full conditions in our terms of service.

Can I generate designs with AI?

Yes, the design tool includes AI generation when logged in. Type a prompt describing what you want and the AI creates artwork you can use directly or as a starting point. AI generation is limited to 3 prompts per hour per account — most designs land within a few prompts, but if you need more, wait an hour or get in touch.

Can I send my own complete artwork instead of using the tool?

Yes. For an additional design preparation fee (quote on request), our team will set up your artwork for printing — checking file format, colour mode, resolution, positioning, and seam placement. Our review is technical (is the file print-ready) rather than creative, so the final look stays in your hands. We also rely on you having the rights to use the artwork — see our terms of service for full conditions. Contact us first to confirm scope and pricing.

Do I get a proof before printing?

For most orders, the live 3D preview in the design tool is your proof — what you see is what gets printed, so do take a moment to review every detail before placing the order. For brand-critical work, you can add a printed sample for €12.76 — refunded as a discount code on orders of 50+ bottles. We won't start the full run until you approve your sample.

Can you match Pantone colours exactly?

Close, not exact. Our UV printing uses CMYK ink. We can match most Pantone colours to within a small tolerance, but extreme neons, metallic Pantones, and certain very saturated colours can't be reproduced exactly with CMYK. For brand-critical colour matching, request a sample first.

What if my image has a background I want removed?

The design tool has a one-click background removal feature for most images. For complex backgrounds or when the auto-removal doesn't work cleanly, upload a PNG with transparent background instead — most design software can export that format.

Can I add custom fonts to my design?

The design tool has a curated selection of fonts built in. You can't upload your own font directly, but if you need a specific brand typeface, contact us and we'll activate it for you. Keep in mind fonts smaller than 12pt may struggle on the cylindrical surface — see our design mistakes guide for what works best.

UV Printing & Materials

What is UV printing?

A digital printing process where ink is cured (hardened) by ultraviolet light, instantly as it's applied. The ink bonds at a molecular level to the bottle's surface, creating prints that don't peel or fade like vinyl wraps or screen prints. Full explanation in our UV printing technology article.

Are Uviqs bottles dishwasher safe?

We recommend hand washing only. The UV-printed surface will last longer without flaking, peeling or fading with hand-wash only. Warm soapy water by hand keeps both the print and the bottle looking new for years. Dishwasher use falls outside our 6-month print warranty — see our returns policy for full warranty conditions.

How durable is the print?

Our UV-printed bottles survive hundreds of hand washes, repeated drops, abrasion from bags and surfaces, and exposure to common chemicals (sunscreen, sanitiser, food acids). No peeling, fading, or edge wear with normal daily use. Full warranty terms (6 months) in our returns policy.

What size are the bottles?

500 ml (17 oz) capacity, approximately 22cm tall and 7cm in diameter at the widest point. Designed to fit standard cup holders, gym bags, and laptop bag side pockets.

What bottle colours are available?

10 standard colours: Blue, Red, Peach, Salmon Pink, Green, Light Mint, White, Cherry Pink, Beige, and Black. See all on the bottle colours page.

Are the bottles BPA-free?

Yes. Our bottles are food-grade stainless steel with a powder-coated exterior. They contain no BPA, lead, or phthalates. Safe for daily use with hot or cold drinks.

Is the print food-safe?

The UV inks we use are certified food-safe for indirect contact, meaning they're safe on the exterior of bottles, cups, and packaging. The print is on the outside of the bottle — the inside is uncoated stainless steel, with no ink contact with your drink.

What's the difference between matte and gloss varnish?

Designs come with a matte finish by default. The optional gloss varnish is a thin clear coat applied over your printed design, adding a slight gloss and a little extra scratch resistance — and it's included free. Choose it whenever you want a glossy finish on the printed area; the base print is already very durable either way.

Samples & Testing

Can I order a sample before placing a bulk order?

Yes. You can add one printed sample to your order to check your design in real life before we run the full batch. The sample costs €12.76, refunded as a discount code on orders of 50+ bottles — one sample per design. The sample is optional: if you're already confident in your design, you can skip it and go straight into production for the fastest delivery. See how samples work.

How much does a sample cost?

A printed sample costs €12.76, paid at the moment you order. For orders of 50+ bottles, this fee is refunded as a discount code on your bottle order. For orders below 50, the sample fee is not refunded. One sample per design, sent for your approval before we produce the full run.

How long does a sample take to arrive?

Sample bottles ship within 3–5 business days after you confirm the design. Delivery time depends on destination — typically 1–2 days within NL/BE/LU, up to a week for distant European destinations.

Is the sample fee refunded for larger orders?

Yes, for orders of 50 or more bottles. The €12.76 sample fee is refunded as a discount code applied to your bottle order. For orders below 50, the sample fee is not refunded. The sample itself is optional — choose to add one before starting the full run so you can confirm the design looks right in hand.

What if the sample doesn't look right?

No problem — you're under no obligation. Nothing goes into full production until you approve your sample, so you can adjust your design and finalize your order, or simply not proceed.
